2. AQUA-MARE Marine Sewage Treatment System (Grade A):
These systems are designed for larger recreational vessels and small to mid-sized commercial vessels. They consist of combined aerobic digestion and oxidation systems and produce a very clean environmentally-friendly output (nitrogen, carbon dioxide and clean water). AQUA-MARE sizes currently available range from a system capable of processing 100 litres per day (suitable for up to 5 people on a full-time ‘live-aboard' basis) to systems capable of processing 250 litres of ‘black water' waste per day. Larger systems are currently under re-development.
3. SANI-TANK Marine Sewage Treatment System (Grade C):
This system is also very environmentally-friendly and is particularly suitable for bare-boat charter fleets and smaller commercial vessels. It is available in four sizes (60 litre system as shown), with the largest system (125 litre system) being suitable for use by up to 12 persons. Like the AQUA-SAN II, the SANI-TANK generates chlorine from seawater and uses that chlorine solution to oxidise and sanitise the toilet wastes. It is a two tank system comprising of a Cell Tank and a combined Treatment/Holding Tank. Custom tanks can be made to order, or developed from our existing range of tanks.
4. ECONO-TANK Marine Sewage Holding Tank:
The ECONO-TANK is primarily a Toilet Waste Holding Tank. It is available in four standard sizes (60 litres as shown, 90 litres, 115 litres and 125 litres). Custom tanks can be made to order, or developed from our existing range of tanks. The electronics provided with the kit includes a waste height warning device, an alarm mute facility, and a switch to control the operation of the macerator discharge pump included with the kit.
5. MAXI-SAN/MINI-SAN Marine Sewage Treatment Systems:
This system is particularly suitable for small boats in its MINI-SAN configuration or for much larger commercial vessels in its MAXI-SAN configuration. Both of these systems use commercially-available liquid pool chlorine to oxidise and disinfect the toilet waste. The MINI-SAN is normally supplied in a self-contained ‘tool-box’ configuration and has an effective operating capacity of approx 15 litres; it is suitable for two (2) people overnight or four (4) people during a part-day trip. The larger MAXI-SAN system (as shown) is primarily used on commercial vessels and can have an effective storage capacity of 500 or 1000 litres. Custom tanks can also be made to order, or developed from our existing range of tanks.
6. Other Systems:
Based on the above systems, NWS also manufactures a range of specialist systems and accessories to suit specific requirements. These products include dedicated grinder pump tanks (for use with up to four (4) standard domestic flush toilets), linked storage tanks (to provide increased storage capacity), “add-on” 240v and 12/24v macerating units for flush toilets, and many other products.
All standard tanks are roto-moulded from new polyethylene materials; all fabricated tanks are made from new high density polyethylene sheet. Tank wall thickness ranges from approximately 4mm for the 10 litre roto-moulded chlorine tank, to 12mm wall thickness for large fabricated waste and water tanks.
